First Security Amphitheater Seating Chart

first security amphitheater seating chart

The seating configuration at First Security Amphitheater is divided into 3 sections. Please note all seats are open air and events happen rain or shine!

As mentioned, the venue only has 1,375 fixed seats out of an 8,375-person capacity, meaning most guests sit or stand in the lawn area.

Spaces are spread across three sections – the pit area, reserved seating area, and lawn area. Each has benefits and drawbacks, which we’ll explore in more detail below:

Pit area

The pit area is perfect for guests who want to dance the night away in the shadow of their favorite performers. Just a few steps forward, and you’d practically be on the stage!

Note that there are no seats in the pit area, so it isn’t the most mobility-friendly option. However, there are a few accessible spaces closer to the back that can be booked in advance. These are further away from the crowd, so more suitable for people with disabilities.

While some guests love being in the middle of the mayhem, others find the atmosphere intimidating. For a more relaxed experience, you might prefer the reserved seating or lawn areas instead.

Reserved seating area

Reserved seating is popular because it combines the best of both worlds – proximity to the stage and comfort. While there’s always a degree of slumming it at festival venues, the reserved seating area could almost be called luxurious. Unlike the pit or lawn areas, guests benefit from cosy chairs, ample legroom, and stricter crowd management.

Understandably, you aren’t allowed to change your seats during the performance, so make sure you’re happy with your tickets before purchasing them.

Lawn area

Lawn seating can be booked in advance or on the day. Here, guests simply find a spot that isn’t already taken, kick back, and enjoy the show. Although you’ll be the furthest away from the main stage, you’re sure to adore the laid-back, mellow vibes and easy access to concession stands.

Accessibility

The amphitheater strives to deliver a fully inclusive experience from start to finish. Despite only having 1,375 fixed seats out of an 8,375-person capacity, many of these are wheelchair accessible. Plus, you’ll find plenty of spacious restrooms and fully navigable pathways for guests with mobility disabilities.

If you have special requests, such as requiring audio description or assistive listening devices, email the venue beforehand. The team will always do their best to accommodate, provided they have notice.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seats for wheelchair users are available across sections, in theory. However, the pit area is predominantly standing only, and the lawn area can become unmanageable if the weather is poor. In contrast, the reserved seating area provides plenty of space and easy-to-navigate paths.

However, the venue always does its best to accommodate guests. If you have any specific requirements, contact the box office ahead of time to discuss.

Which is the best ticket to choose?

The best ticket to choose depends on your budget and the type of experience you want to have.

The pit area often descends into full-on mosh madness, which some guests love but others hate. The lawn area is similar in the sense you don’t have an actual seat, but the atmosphere is far more relaxed – think a few bottles of beer on a field with friends on a warm summer’s day.

Reserved seating is always popular with guests who don’t want to stand or sit on the floor for prolonged periods, offering practicality and unobstructed views of the stage.

As for cost, reserved seating tends to be the most expensive, whereas lawn seating is the most reasonable. Again, this depends on the specific show, so expect some price variation.
